Does this make sense to anyone?
I wish to change roles at my work, from sales to another job that involves no sales at all.
In order to be considered for this move, I have to hit three different sales targets and have good revenue, basically proving that I am good at sales.
My skills are not in sales at all, they are all perfect for the other role.
So where’s the logic behind this?
Obviously they’re trying to get people to work towards these roles and in doing so, boost profits.
The problem is, that by doing this, all that really happens is that because the company does not recognise people’s individual talents, the people who are good at selling are moving out of sales and the ones who are not are bringing down sales figures.
Counter productive really.
